SPORTS AND MANUAL THERAPY

Dana has been working at Back in Action Physiotherapy in Whistler since 2012, providing treatment using education, manual therapy, acupuncture, dry needling, and exercise therapy. In her time there she has assessed and treated those with sports injuries, chronic conditions, post-surgical protocols, WorkSafe BC and ICBC claims, as well as international and national level athletes from Freestyle Skiing, Snowboarding, Bobsleigh and Skeleton.

WOMEN'S HEALTH AND PELVIC FLOOR PHYSIOTHERAPY

As a women’s health and pelvic floor physical therapist, Dana treats a variety of conditions relating to pelvic pain and dysfunction, incontinence, prenatal and postnatal rehabilitation, as well as paediatric bowel and bladder concerns.

PRENATAL AND POSTNATAL FITNESS

Dana offers physiotherapy-lead prenatal fitness in the clinic or through in home private or semi-private (2-3 clients) sessions.

Each session includes an individualized assessment to personally tailor the class to each participant.

Participants will learn about prenatal and postnatal care of their pelvic floor, abdomen, and musculoskeletal system to help them remain fit and better prepared for delivery and the postpartum stage. Participants will develop strength, endurance, and aerobic capacity, while learning what is safe for mom and baby.

BREASTFEEDING CARE

In-home physiotherapy based breastfeeding support for moms and babies, assessing for and treating:

Breast Conditions

Physiotherapy treatment for blocked ducts, mastitis, breast inflammation, and musculoskeletal discomfort.

Infant Neck & Jaw

Assessment and treatment of infant conditions such as torticollis, plagiocephaly (flat spot on head), tight jaw muscles, and difficult achieving a wide, open mouth for latching.


Latch & Positioning

Help with achieving a deep latch, appropriate positioning for feeding, assessing and treating an uncoordinated suck, and more.
